Quick and easy alignment

Works great on my lightweight Manfrotto flat head tripod. The fastest way to align most of your shots. The leveling movement is dampened like a liquid column. Possibly to prevent jerky shifting under heavy loads.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Modern

Perfect for my small CF tripod without a flat base.

Although the bubble level is not factory set correctly, as some other reviewers have noted, I removed it (it pulls out easily) and taped it in place to ensure it was level. Works very well for panoramas with the right technique. highlighted.

Very reliable clamping: tripods and monopods

Very reliable and easy to use. I have to say I ended up not keeping it because I needed a pan clamp instead and it doesn't move from side to side, but I found it easy to use and holds the setting very securely. . If you just need one level you will love this clip.

Not bad overall.: Tripods and monopods

Like many similar leveling bases, it moves enough to level your head but not enough to be unstable. Not sure if the spirit level is accurate, it is slightly different from my other spirit levels. The rubber base keeps it in place on the tripod post, but adds a bit of play, which can be an issue in heavy loads and windy conditions.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Damaged

Great design and build for the money.

Small enough to fit in my tripod between my head and legs. Large enough to be durable and last a long time. Easy change of position. It stays firmly in place and never moves again. The spirit level works well. Looks very solid. It also moves very well: a little sluggish and slow, but it helps a lot with positioning. Would definitely buy again. Love it.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Almost never

Simple and outrageously simple

I've had this leveling base for about 3 months, it's pretty easy to use and effective. I have a budget ball head that supports a panoramic mount for a Fuji X camera, which means this base performs well for the weight of my gear, which is unheard of when used with heavier cameras and lenses. If I have one complaint, it's that the base takes some force to move after first loosening the locking screw. After that, the first small resistance movement is dampened quite softly and pleasantly.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • There are some nuances

Great set, makes life a lot easier!

I have had great luck with Neewer products and this part is no different. I recently did a night shoot on very uneven ground covered in sagebrush. It has made my life and photography so much easier. The stroke is smooth, adjustable by loosening a knob. The finish is great and at least half the price of a Manfoto. I have purchased a few of their products and have not had any issues with their gear so far. If it gets bad I will update this review. I would buy another one and recommend it to my…

Inexpensive device for quick and easy alignment of the tripod head.

The Newer Leveling Base is a great and affordable tripod head leveling tool. No hassle when raising/lowering the tripod legs. I believe this gives any tripod the versatility of a ball leveler on high end tripods. I add extra weight but the speed at which I can align the fluid head is worth it. (Hydraulic heads are almost essential for smoothly panning and tilting a camcorder. But the camera has to be perfectly level or the panning won't be level and the result will be amateurish.) My only…

Almost perfect, with one recoverable error

Solid metal, well machined and finished. The only negative is the 1/4-20 top screw; All of the tripod heads I've used over the years have 3/8 threaded sockets. Neewer's leveling base comes with a screw adapter, however, the special design of this screw adapter has a flange that provides a 1mm gap between the leveling base and the tripod head. This creates the possibility of vibration and possible loosening, which the three anti-torque screws do not completely eliminate. Revain sells Foto&Tech…

Spirit level set at an angle and very tight

Saturday 05/18/19 This Neewer hair straightener is well made and finished. Unfortunately, the two main issues voiced by others continue to plague the product. Surprisingly, Neewer hasn't allowed them yet. It could easily become a bestseller or a smash hit. I read a lot of negative reviews and was aware of the issues with inaccurate bubble levels and too tight head movements, but ordered it as it seemed to sit lower and also seemed lighter than the 3x more expensive Acratech leveling base. I…
