This product is not for everyone. That being said, it works great on very dry, coarse Caucasian hair and curly Caucasian hair, as well as African American hair that is not sensitive to proteins. The smell is strong but not unpleasant. That's the problem. I don't use it like the instructions say. This is a VERY dense, heavy, opaque conditioner. I apply it to dirty, dry hair, working it through the hair section by section, focusing especially on the ends. Then I twist my hair into a clip for an hour. Finally, I wash it off with my regular shampoo and then use my regular conditioner. It's just too heavy for most Caucasian hair if used as instructed. For African American hair, it can be used as directed, but I still recommend leaving it on longer. Please do not use on low porosity or protein sensitive hair. Advertising in terms of moisture, softness and shine is real. Not as much as expensive brands but great for the price. It's a 12 ounce tub and I probably use it 10-12 times so for $12 I got a 3 month supply. What can't be said about most hair masks.
