To the point

I have dry, thick skin. I've heard a lot about them and after doing some research I bought them hoping to get an intense exfoliation and cleanse. heard it was the most intense of them all. Then they are all too soft for me. Oh, you'll see the dirt beading off you as expected. But most of the work is in YOUR hands! NOT just a towel! I have big hands so I couldn't put my thumb in the towel which made it a bit more difficult as it kept slipping. All in all, if you put a lot of brawn into it, you'll get a decent wash. For best results, it's best to use back and forth motions instead of circular motions. ADDITIONAL INFO: I showered by running hot water over my body for a few minutes and then lightly dampening my washcloth with Dr. Bronner's Rose Castille with bathing stool. Leave the soap on for a while before rinsing it off. I started rubbing with a dry Italian towel but found that it works best when it gets wet first. Also make sure the soap is inside out on the right side where the label is not visible. .Scrubbing up and down/back and forth resulted in more dirt than circular motions. Every time I got dirty reels I would rinse my body and start over a total of 6 or 7 times. I couldn't put as much energy into the scrub as I wanted because the towel shrank when it got wet and kept slipping off my four fingers. My thumb didn't fit which made it uncomfortable. So my hands hurt a little afterwards. After the final rinse, I lathered my face with the clarifying soap and left it on my skin for a few minutes before rinsing off. My skin is much clearer and softer. I then applied a heavy duty moisturizer and MY SKIN FEELS SO SMOOTH! BUT FOR THE TRUTH. Your skin probably won't be 100% buffed and polished the first time you use this alone. I think if you can the best thing is to go to a real Korean bath and let them clean you the first time so you are as clean as possible. THEN use these towels yourself to keep this clean as it is harder to get the same results just with your hands. Although you can find a version of the mittens that would be best for your hands. If you have a bath, USE IT! The shower uses a lot of water to do this, and you have to keep the water flowing so you can wash off the dirt as it rolls off. Hope that helps!
