firstly it cleaned the surface of my water very quickly. I installed it and left the room, I came back an hour later and the surface was clear of biofilm that I've been trying to get rid of for months, so less than an hour to clean the surface could only be 10 minutes but I can I can't say as I wasn't in the room. The inlet valve adapts perfectly to the water level. It would have been 5 stars if I didn't feel I needed to make a small change to it. I read enough reviews that had issues with suction cups and decided not to even try using them without even buying them. I cut off the top suction cup with a utility knife and used super glue to attach the epoxy coated magnet. I used a different magnet on the outer back glass and now I have the skimmer securely attached and don't have to worry about the suction cups not working.
