I'm back and writing this review 9 months later because I was in a bad accident and that's why we buy them all for that. I fell at highway speed (55) and spent a very painful week in the hospital. As I write this, I'm still sitting here with both arms in casts and a couple of broken ribs, but we're here to talk pants. I wore these pants over shorts with standard leather boots. After the accident, I had two scraped knees (due to the mesh on the skin) as well as several serious bruises, but the armor did the job and prevented broken knees or hips, and the mesh prevented me from rolling into the ER with one road rash or dented gravel. So if I knew I was going to crash, would I buy something better? Possibly, but the best gear is the one that worked and I'm still running, so this gets 5 stars. Get ready guys. It's worth it.
