I've only had a partner for 4 days. The problem started when my 10 lb cat jumped up and lay on him. Now it's tilted down on one side. Now I understand it wasn't intended for a cat bed. I was just expecting a longer shelf life. The box was thrown away because when I installed it I really liked it. I think it's not possible to go back now. The moral of the story is that you'll probably be fine if you use it for groceries or a laptop, but keep cats, children, or other heavy objects away from it.
