I bought two hubs for my Surface 6. Microsoft's works fine but it doesn't have a card reader and you need a mini HDMI to connect via HDMI and for some reason, my external monitor didn't work with it even though my TV did. I wanted a card reader and bought one that accepts full and mini SD cards (you don't need a mini card adapter). In fact, you can use both cards at the same time. This hub is lightweight and fits snugly on the Surface 6, making it feel like it's part of the machine, and you can connect a full-size HDMI cable to it. (My external monitor had no problem with that). If you're using the original charger that came with Surface (not the one that came with the Microsoft hub), this hub fits right over it, allowing you to use the hub and charge your battery at the same time. It's also very compact, a good size for travel.
