It was very difficult to find a strong harness for my hiking dachshund. I'm very glad I tried before I gave up. He wore it on a 27 mile ride and ended up with no scuffs/hotspots. Of course, you always want to do a few test rides to make sure you have the right setup before embarking on a long hike. I also think it's good that there are several points to shorten the rental agreement. The poop bag dispenser was a lot more useful than I expected. Since my friend is smaller than most puppies who carry their gear, it's nice that this harness allows saddlebags to fold down when not in use.
