Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Thule Yepp Maxi Child Bike Seat: Safely Enhance Your Family's Cycling Adventures by Jason Unruh

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It came out with my 1 and 5 months in it. And my son was fine.

My husband may hate me for telling this story but here we are: We bought this at his insistence because: oh my god, the awards, the colors, the reviews, it looks that way much better looking than other seats we looked further. I kept quiet, it was just a bike seat, what's wrong with that? We decided his bike was better as it had better maneuverability and balance than mine. Well, on our second outing, when I was in front of my husband, I slowed down to ask him which road to take at the fork in front of us, he slowed down. down and turned right, then accelerated in front of me. To my maternal dismay, as soon as he picked up that speed, the entire seat came loose with our son on it, his arms like waving spaghetti. I still drive it. I screamed, I heard my son scream: MOM, MOM, MOM, his seat turned three times, and all I could think was: his face is slipping on the pavement, his knees are scratched. It's grated cheese. The man stops, I go to my son, take him in my arms, he roars with fear, still screaming Mom, Mom. I look at him and he's whole, with ONE small scratch on his knee. That's all. He wore a helmet that helped keep his face off the sidewalk. The locks on his feet helped keep his legs in place and the foam cuffs kept him secure in the seat. The seat came loose because my husband attached the wrong side of the lock to the base of the bike. Basically the damn seat was never attached and the momentum from slowing down, turning and accelerating caused the seat to come loose. So please pay close attention to hearing the click when attaching the seat to the base. Also, always make sure your child wears a helmet. I was so careful not to wear the one we had that day because it was too big, our ride was less than half a mile, it was in a closed passage and my son fought back by wearing a helmet wore. Then I thought: It would be very bad if your husband fell and your child hit his head on it. Well, I'm glad I have this seat, my son sits safely in it and always wears a helmet with the kids. Even if you cycle 10 feet.
