This is a popular product with probably thousands of reviews from different brands so I won't say it doesn't work - obviously it works for many people and pets. But not for me. . I used them on my lunch table for a first workout. My little three pound Bengal kitten has found that he can jump between the 3/4 inch tiles that are in normal laying. But I'm probably smarter than them, so I trimmed the edges and made a solid, spiky finish. It wasn't enough. She figured out how to stretch out her little cat's paws to avoid the spikes. She is uncomfortable walking on it, but does not hesitate when she wants to discover something. Do you have an older cat that is heavier and has bigger paws I think they will work much better. For small kittens, even older ones, don't worry. Think of a different learning strategy.
