I really like the built in power block. Without a socket block, the entire cable would have to be unwound before use. At the same time, I only spin what I need. On the other hand, I have to fully unwind it to use it with things like a corded trimmer. A NOTICE. Because this device does not have overheat protection, you MUST fully unwind it when using it with devices that draw large amounts of current. I was able to get it at a bargain price and no one else in the price range had a curfew so it was easy. Longevity remains to be seen, but it appears to work well for the average homeowner. Professionals and other people who use it daily may prefer something more powerful, with thermal protection, or with a simpler winding mechanism. It's not that wrapping is bad, it requires some skill.
