I was looking for something small and portable that I could quickly get out of my laptop bag. Note* This works best on hard surfaces. If you don't want to carry around a large laptop cooling pad, then this is for you. In terms of size, I'd say it's slightly larger than a golf ball. It's well made for what it's used for. You can use this for any laptop regardless of Windows or Mac. The magnet only serves to connect the two pieces together and keeps them nice and tight in place. The magnet isn't very strong, so you have to make a lot of effort to separate the two parts. Overall this is a good buy for me and I would recommend it if you are trying not to carry around a laptop cooling pad.
