Review on πŸ’‡ Braun M90 Mobile Electric Shaver: Precision Trimmer, Washable - Perfect Razor for Men by Jennifer Manning

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Sophisticated design and functionality

I own 4-5 high-quality Braun razors. They worked very well, but the price seemed prohibitive. I bought the M90 for business trips and am completely satisfied with it. It is a pleasure to use because every aspect is thought out down to the smallest detail. I think it surpasses all other models in terms of design and functionality. Rather than dubious features based purely on marketing hype like hydrodynamic, floating, triple axle, titanium head with whiskers (I made it up, but you know what I mean), every feature of the M90 is an elegant solution. Requirement. The screen protector is captive and no separate case is required. The protector can be swiveled to the side for use. Because it pivots around the power switch and the hole is off-center, the switch won't turn on with the protective cover closed (no accidental turning on in the case draining the batteries to zero). The cleaning brush is stored in the base and is therefore always with you. It includes a retractable trimmer, just like full-size razors. Two replaceable AA (LR6) batteries are used in place of the typical built-in internal batteries. I use rechargeable batteries, which means I have to take a separate charger with me as well. I don't have a standard razor cord and the charger is very small, so for me it's comparable to a rechargeable razor. In addition, the M90 is small, so even with an extra charger, it's smaller than a regular shaver. If necessary, I can always use lye that I can keep anywhere. To access the battery compartment, the end opens through an easy-to-open but very securely lockable door, and the door is fixed so it cannot be lost. After all, even with a basic, fixed head with a shield, it shaves as well as any of the high-end tans I've had. The only complaint I have with all Braun razors is the ridiculous price of the replacement screen and blades. Because the razor is very inexpensive, the replacement shade and blades are almost the same cost as the razor itself, so it makes sense to just buy a brand new one when the shade wears out. I did it once. When the second had a hole in the screen, I felt uncomfortable buying the third, so I just sealed that part with duct tape to keep it from snagging on my skin. I've been using it this way for several years (although I travel less now). All in all I love it so much I had to split it and buy one for my dad and one for my son.
