Synthetic (fleece, I'm looking at you.) blankets stink and are difficult to pull out of dog hair, and then my washing machine starts up when I try to wash them They keep the stink Natural materials - no. I bought these blankets hoping the weave of the material wouldn't catch stray hairs and make a giant mess. I was so right (HOOT!) - these are the best dog blankets which we have.Never been.They are a bit stiff at first, even after washing, but will soften and be more flexible after a few weeks.They are thick so offer some cushioning.We bought a deep red/black duvet, lest the dirt of the California Sierras soil them when camping or ruin them.I can't say enough cabbage soup in these blankets for me, but it's amazing taking them outside to bring and shake them a little, and all the hair is gone. We've been using them for a few weeks now and they don't smell. Win.
