Windows has served me well throughout my life, therefore I haven't spent much time with Macs. There was some confusion over where to get a laptop. First, I concentrated on Lenovo, HP, and Huawei because each of these manufacturers offers a "machine" with specs that can be had for less money than a MacBook. But I still want to broaden my horizons, so I've decided to buy an Apple laptop, in part because the M1 CPU has been met with such universal praise. I debated between the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro, but ultimately determined that the extra expense was not justified by the touch bar and the active cooling (looking back, I can say that this was the best choice). Thus, I purchased the 8GB variant of the Air with the M1 processor. I had to "suffer" through the usual Mac keyboard layout for a couple of days when making the switch from Windows. I found this to be quite challenging. After that, I was able to navigate the trackpad with ease, install programs, use Mission Control, and become familiar with the interface. And it was here that I experienced the first signs of being high. After nearly two months of use, I can still say that every single second spent working on this "machine" is a joyous one. Until recently, I used a desktop computer at the office, but now I use only my MacBook Pro (despite the fact that I have to work a lot with large spreadsheets). In most households, this laptop serves as the sole computer. It's safe to conclude that its primary intended use is in the workplace, particularly in scenarios where the user must regularly switch between windows and applications, present information to a group of people, or operate remotely. Small and lightweight, with an excellent battery, awesome trackpad, and cool keyboard, this laptop allows you to work from anyplace with ease. This applies to both the couch at home and the bus. In my experience with the iPhone 11 and iPad, I was never able to feel the "Magic of Apple," but once I got my hands on the Air, I realized just how much was at stake. My advise to anyone looking to buy a new professional laptop is to get a MacBook Air without hesitation, especially if you plan to take it on the road frequently. To be honest, I can't imagine a scenario in which this purchase wouldn't make you happy. Except, of course, when we're talking about a specific program or very well-established Windows procedures. That's a fantastic return on the investment.
