Review on ER3XR Etymotion Wireless Bluetooth Number by Lindsey Martin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Conforms to standard

I've been using Etymotic for a long time, mainly the wired ER4P model which I still have two pairs of which I use for long distance motorcycle touring. Cables naturally snag and become another issue to contend with when speeding down the freeway at 75 mph. The ER3XR-BT was a breath of fresh air and I've been using mine for about 3 months now, mainly for phone calls and music. While the sound isn't as good as the wired models, the audio range is very good, and the Bluetooth 5.0 functionality means you can be further away from the audio source and hardly notice a difference. Battery life is adequate, and I rarely experience the daily phone connection issues that have plagued me with other brands (power cuts, sudden blackouts, etc.). The only downside I see (but haven't experienced yet) is the very flimsy/thin wiring. which could potentially cause problems over time and with rigorous use. BT (Wireless) models are lightweight and work perfectly, but even more reliable wired systems wear out over time and require extra attention to avoid damage. However, no negative reviews for things that have not yet been tested. Just something to be aware of and perhaps consider an extended warranty through Revain. I plan to upgrade to ER4XR-BT in the coming weeks. Etymotic is a brand I trust and their customer support has always been top notch.
