I bought this mirror because I thought it would help me on the road. I think it might work for some people but it wasn't what I was looking for. My handlebars are a bit wider than on a conventional road bike and the drop bars stick out a bit. This put the mirror in a slightly awkward position just below my left forearm. Well, for a dedicated road bike with regular drops, this will probably work just fine. When I personally looked in the mirror, it seemed to vibrate so much that I could hardly see anything behind me. Also, the mirror kept bumping into my knee when I got on or off the bike and I had to spend the first five minutes of every ride trying to get it back to its original position. I just felt safer paying attention to traffic and turning my head to look back. If you absolutely need a mirror, I'd say you're better off looking at something more minimalist.
