They do NOT cut, but stick very well.
I've had them a long time, the gold foil hasn't faded like other reviews said, although I hand wash and don't clean the back as often as the piece goes in my mouth. But I'm just a guy reviewing chopsticks. lol, be aware they are mostly still plastic and will melt if you use them for cooking
