Review on Mountainsmith Mayhem Recycled Terrain Backpack by Ann Torres

Good backpack. great for outdoor activities

This is a very good versatile backpack. However, as a longtime external frame fan, I wouldn't recommend relying on this part for more than three days of hiking. As much as possible, it can store everything you need for 2-3 days without contact. The inner frame distributes the weight well on the legs. This is a simple aluminum X-frame that can be adjusted to your height. I only used mine once on a Grand Canyon hike. It was perfect for the two days we were there. I packed in all the food, snacks, clothes, a pot and some water we needed. The rest of the gear/necessities were shared among the other members of our group. As for the materials; Can't say it's durable as I only took it with me on one trip, but honestly it seems pretty durable. I know mine got damaged a bit on the trip but it still looks brand new. I think the mesh around the perimeter is waterproof. Great package! PS I bought mine from the trading post in Sierra for $65. Check them out, they always have great deals!
