PLEASANT MOISTURIZING BUT INEFFICIENT FORMULA FOR DARK SPOT REDUCTION

There are several cosmeceutical products that are effective in reducing hyperpigmentation, but this is not one of them. them all, it's not something I highly recommend. Included moisturizers like shea butter and especially Shorea Stenoptera Seed Oil (which is super moisturizing) give this spot treatment a creamy serum consistency that leaves skin looking amazing. However, some ingredients have soothing or anti-inflammatory properties but do not lighten the pigment. The pigment corrector is actually 4-BUTYLRESORCINAL, which is the most powerful hypopigmenting agent compared to the typical brighteners kojic acid, hydroquinone and arbutin. That's really saying something because those other ingredients are usually in a concealer cream like this one. HOWEVER, as always, THE ORDER OF THE INGREDIENTS IS IMPORTANT, and the top 5 ingredients are important. 4-BUTYLRESORCINAL is ingredient #8. The five key ingredients are: #1 water, #2 denatured alcohol (an unwanted ingredient that dries out the skin), #3 moisturizer to prevent moisture loss, #4 glycerin and finally No. 5 another plasticizer. treats dark spots at a concentration that matters. Unfortunately, cosmetic companies assume or know that most consumers have a poor understanding of skin care ingredients. You just have to promote key ingredients as buzzwords that make us buy products based on marketing hype, even if those ingredients are in small amounts and work as advertised. Basically it's a very pleasant to the touch, unscented moisturizer that contains a really good blemish corrector, but it's not the main ingredient or in enough concentration to do any real good. And here it is. If you're expecting this to lighten any significant pigmentation, you'll be waiting a very long time in vain. It's beautiful, so use it as a moisturizer and ALWAYS wear a good sunscreen. I never go below 50 SPF and prefer 70 or 100 even if it's too much to avoid sunspots. Look elsewhere for a good blemish corrector. 2 stars as a moisturizer, minus as a decent stain corrector.
