When I opened it I thought it was great: looks good, feels good etc. The gold is a nice champagne color and looks great on my desk. Definitely worth the money - until I tried it. While I didn't have any trouble moving the mouse pad like other reviewers, it messes up my mouse tracking a lot. The reflective surface should not be compatible with a laser mouse as it is VERY awkward to use. It FEELS OK, but my pointer jumps all over the screen, sometimes doesn't move at all, moves slowly. everything is wrong I switch back to another standard mouse pad and everything is fine, but when I then switch back to the gold pad I can't get the pointer to work effectively to save my life. he looks so great i want to love it I'm trying to get back to it but it just doesn't work with this laser mouse. Very disappointed.
