Update 041321: I'm updating this review with a few more photos and a cautionary tale to highlight how fragile these types of travel mugs are. We had been using it for less than a month when the inner wall broke off leaving razor sharp pieces of glass on the floor. Mom drank lemonade in a darkened room while we watched a movie. She didn't even know the glass was broken until the movie ended. Just imagine what could happen if she tried to get the last piece of ice from below in the dark. We contacted the company and described how we've used the glasses for both cold and hot drinks, but never used them back-to-back in the same glass on the same day to see if we could avoid glass breakage. Typically for companies who are either unfamiliar with the products they sell, they didn't answer our questions. However, they responded promptly and apologized for the lack of quality control at the factory (their words, not mine). And they offered to replace the whole set. I think it's just a feature of the product that people SHOULD be aware of. After all, we are talking about two wafer-thin layers of glass here. So while we continue to use them, we constantly check their condition when we drink. We also do not recommend them for children of all ages. First review: We've bought Sweese 6 ounce double wall mugs in the past and they've held up surprisingly well for such a delicate product. I had the idea of trying a larger version for my mum who has severe Rheumatoid Arthritis and needs something light and a handle she can put her whole arm in. We don't yet know if they'll last as long as the smaller cups, where the seal that eventually falls out seems to be their biggest Achilles' heel. But she loves her. That's all she uses now - two a day, one for hot drinks and one for cold drinks. And as you can see from my photos, the company certainly thinks about their brand well enough that their customers trust their good packaging. Thanks for that.
