You get what you pay for
The wiring harness goes straight into the 1" hole in the back. There are no grommets or shrouds, so the wires can easily detach from the circuit board, and it doesn't protect against moisture in any way. It also has a special clip on the end of the wires that you'll need to clip to adapt it to something other than the specific plug it fits into.
