I bought these for my daughters to fill with water for sensory play. She caught me playing with them in the kitchen several times. They are VERY COOL! I have to remind myself that they're not slimy, just wet. I soaked them inside to make them easy to separate from the unabsorbed water. The photo I shared is a picture of what they look like before soaking, 4 hour soaking, and overnight soaking, and how much the 4 hour balls shrunk overnight as I let them dry . The shoe box I kept them in was about half full and only contained 3 teaspoons of pearls. TEASPOON! My daughter loves playing with it and so do I. They're easy to crush and bounce off when dropped, so I can see why 20,000 is needed. However, I think we'll just buy more because they're so cool!
