Leaves a terrible texture before completely dissolving

I was told that foam rollers are best for painting cabinets so I bought them for a vanity remodeling project. Unfortunately, they leave a horrible uneven texture on smooth, sanded wood that isn't easy to sand (needs to be taken apart and started over) and, moreover, they completely collapse after being saturated with paint. Don't buy if you value your time and sanity.
