Holds oil but is harder to cut

Holds my oil and keeps it in! The only downside is something I thought about when I was looking for these things but overlooked when I actually made this purchase. There is a grove that prevents the oil from sliding off the red shell. BUT for this reason if you grab a butter knife and go straight down. You'll have a good quarter of an inch to cut off, but you can't. Therefore, you have to cut the butter like you would cut a steak. It's not a big deal, but I've noticed that since I have to cut the butter at an angle, actually with the grooves, the butter moves a lot more. Ironically, if you could cut straight down, you wouldn't even need to make grooves. Instead, I recommend buying something with a flat tray.
