Review on πŸ§₯ Smartwool Men's Smartloft 120 Jacket by Vivek Allen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Warm, lightweight mid-layer with a flattering fit

I'm becoming a fan of Smartwool products, both because of the quality and the size. They don't skimp on sleeve length, so they're great for tall, athletic people (unlike many other smaller brands that seem to suggest a medium-round build that shrinks or expands both vertically and horizontally). I love this vest. It has padding on the front but not on the back, so it's great if you're looking for a lightweight, breathable mid-layer to keep your vitals toasty. With no sun or much activity and just a t-shirt, this jacket is ideal for people between 40 and 60, depending on how much body fat you have. You can use it to walk over your base layer in sub-zero temperatures. He breathes fabulously through his bare arms and back. I once made the mistake of wearing this jacket over a base layer and cycling jacket and then layering a thin windproof waterproof layer over this jacket. By the end of my trip, the insides of my arms and the back of my outer layer were completely wet (but it wasn't raining on the outside) and I was shocked to see how much water I was losing straight through my Merino (also Smartwool) base layer. my cycling jacket and this vest. I knew I was sweating, but had no idea I was sweating so much. Here's a three-step recipe for determining if this jacket is right for you: 1) Do you think you're in decent shape? If not, stop now and look elsewhere. If yes, go to step 2.2) Do you like how you look (maybe) on Lycra bikes? If not, stop. If yes, go to step 3.3) Are you sure about your answer to step 2? Then take this jacket. If not, get in shape first and skip to step 1.
