Great design for use as a cycling jacket in cooler/colder weather. The front panel acts as a kind of windbreak and the wool is a good insulator. The only thing to keep in mind is that it may seem a bit small depending on your body type. But typical Smartwool quality.

Wow, the thing looks really good in real life, much better than the photo. Good enough to be a real city jacket and not make you look like a weird tourist everywhere. And the rain performance is great too, it dries quickly and can keep you a little dry and you don't get warm or wet like most raincoats. And it is a good ordinary sweater, although it is far superior to the ordinary sweater in every way. Highly recommended, couldn't be better. My only concern is whether the bottom of the jacket is

I'm becoming a fan of Smartwool products, both because of the quality and the size. They don't skimp on sleeve length, so they're great for tall, athletic people (unlike many other smaller brands that seem to suggest a medium-round build that shrinks or expands both vertically and horizontally).
