Look at the picture. The dress is pretty see-through. Under the dress you can see individual lights. So there isn't the "luminous" look you expect. All of our other angels, both lit and unlit, have a basic robe and then another lace robe on top to add depth to the dress. This is a gold plated garment only as in the photo. However, in the picture the dress appears to be tighter than it really is. I have sheer curtains that don't show through. You can stand 10 feet away (and that's in a 7 foot tree) and see all the lights in the ring clearly. I'm not talking about the glow of a lightbulb, I'm talking about a lightbulb. This design flaw could be corrected by adding some gold lace over the bodice of the dress to diffuse the light. It's in a tree now and we have to get used to it. I can't wait for the comments and ridicule from the kids about this.
