🌟 8.5-Inch Kurt Adler LED Color-Changing Light Star Tree Topper Review

Don't be fooled by the pictures of this item. This is the quality I would expect in one of those cheap "less than $5" stores. Multiple flashing LED lights are sandwiched between two thin pieces of clear plastic. That's all. And the star is not that big. Expensive. Thought to send it back.

I like this star, it looks very nice on my Christmas tree. One thing I didn't understand (which I should have known if I read the product description) is that it is AC powered. The adapter is very heavy and if you have an 8ft tree like me, this is the very heavy part that is near the top of the tree. The adapter cord is only 12 inches long and connects to tree light bulbs.

Each section of the star is a light of a different color, and each light blinks slowly (not blinking). It only blinks/goes out for a very short half second and then stays on for a few seconds (and so on). The star itself is made of transparent plastic. Doesn't look expensive, but it's not cheap either. The power cord has a small "brick" about 3" x 2" that can be easily hidden between branches. The star itself is fairly light, so it shouldn't weigh down the branch it's on.

This is a beautiful wooden panel that goes very well with our colored retro LED lights (C3). The colors seem to flicker back and forth, creating a kind of shimmering effect. The plastic stand that comes with it is not as stylized as in the photo, but it is long enough and perfectly matches our real Christmas tree. The cable is long enough for a 6ft tree. Product lasted approximately 3 weeks when used several hours per night. After the New Year I put it in its factory packaging and put it in a larger box with other wooden things where it was needed. The top of our tree is stiff enough to hold the star, not the top of the branch which sags under any added weight so the star stands straight easily. I routed the wiring along the branches so that it runs down the middle of the tree and is not visible. I had to use a small extension cord to get from a plug hidden in a tree to an outlet. A great star for your Christmas tree. It has bright LED lights with a pleasant glow. The best thing is the slow rotation of the lights, not some sort of speed test. To clarify, this light doesn't "change color" that much, as it has five LEDs of different colors at each point of the star, gradually turning on and off as it spins slowly (see video). I have been looking for a simple treetop for a long time and after reading many reviews finally settled on this one. Pros: Overall, this is the kind I wanted. This star looks really good on the LED Christmas tree we have in our break room. This fits the bill. The LEDs turn on and off in a broader pattern, with most of them always lit steadily.
