Runs about 2 sizes smaller.
My daughter is 7 years old and has just outgrown size 7/8 and wears size 10. The dozens she wears in normal clothes are still too big for her. This coat size 10 was small. He couldn't even zip up. I returned it. Size 12 is almost too small. It's almost impossible to close. She can wear it to one show a week and then it will be too small. My other daughter who wears a size 7/8 is perfect for a size 12 coat. Sizing aside, this looks good and seems well made.
