Cute bed for my granddaughter

My granddaughter is almost 2 years old and will have a little brother or sister in a few months. As I have to pack for her siblings, I decided to surprise her with an early birthday present: a large girls bed if she stays here. roll out She's something of an acrobatic sleeper, which is why I love that this bed has railings on both sides, top and bottom. I assembled it today all by myself. Aside from one occasion when I had to whip out my magnifying glass, the photos were pretty self-explanatory. All parts were in place and everything was easy to twist with the Allen key provided. I wish my arms were a little longer but other than that it was easy to put together. Just take the time to figure out which part goes where and in which direction before you start screwing it all together. EXCEPT for easy installation: there are four slats for the bed that need to be screwed on and they are listed as two different pieces but look the same. Eventually I realized that one pair was slightly shorter than the other, but there were no sizes on the parts list to tell them apart. What worked was using the shorter pair to hold the side rails together and the longer pair as crossbars in the center of the bed. Considering there are reviews where people had issues with those center crossbars, I'd bet that's the problem. I may have to update this rating on strength after a few laps with the toddler, but for now I'm very pleased.
