Review on Sabrent Docking Station Ports DS U301 by Ashley Belehar

I've seen several reviews describing problems reading HHD. After experiencing it myself and doing some trial and error, I found that the device wasn't working properly with the supplied power adapter (very likely) because it wasn't getting enough power. The device comes with a 12V-2A power adapter. However, I had to switch to a 12V 3A power supply for it to work properly. I'm not sure if this might cause other problems in the future, but it works. If you are reading this review and you own or are planning to buy one, please contact Amazon and request a loan which may bring you enough money to buy a suitable power adapter (12V-3A, 5.5- mm DC plug) to buy. I tested the unit with a 12v 3a power supply, 1 HHD and 3 SSDs and they all worked as expected. I have yet to test the read/write speeds and performance under heavy loads. I hope it continues to work well!
