Really like these. A rechargeable vacuum pump is essential (for a proper seal) as the vacuum pump removes any unwanted air that can accelerate spoilage of the stored product. Keeps my sauces and other foods fresh for over a week. Food may have a longer shelf life but I don't know because I usually consume fresh herbs and spices for 7 or 9 days. Caution: Check the rubber seals after they have been washed and stored with the lid on for some time. sealed! I have found that if even a hint of moisture or food residue remains after cleaning, mold can occur BY USER ERROR. To lessen this, just be aware that the seals can be removed to better clean the lid, so be sure to do so. Then I run them through the normal cycle in the top rack of the dishwasher. Before putting the gasket back on the lid, make sure it is COMPLETELY DRY and free of residue. This will change the world. You can then store them without any nasty surprises. The seals are of good quality as the mold I found had completely worn away and did not damage the seal.
