We bought this to use as a 'work collar' for our 120 lb dog. Great Pyrenees on the advice of people showing their festivals. After using this collar for several months we love it. The chain itself is thin and relatively light, but strong enough to easily walk a giant breed dog. Admittedly our dog had good leash manners prior to purchasing this collar (he doesn't usually freak out on walks and knows the "foot" command) but if he gets distracted or agitated she is very sensitive to this collar as once it starts to "slip” and immediately corrects what she is doing. In addition, the absence of large, bulky links on the chain makes it easier to use when adjusting its position around the neck. The links won't snag like a link chain and won't tangle or pull on our dog's long double coat. As an added bonus, the collar doesn't actually cover his fur, so if we want to take a picture of him with him, you won't be able to see the collar.
