Review on 🐝 Fiebing's Aussie Beeswax Leather Conditioner for Optimal Hot and Dry Climates by Jessica Parks

Ordered this leather conditioner on the recommendation of many tanners. Thanks to the LeatherWorker.net forum for all the helpful tips. In any case, this conditioner provides the skin with a lot of moisture and, after a thorough polish, ensures a smooth surface. Like hot water on spinach, it darkens the skin it's applied to. From what I was told this was to be expected. In fact, if you want to increase the darkening effect, apply a heat treatment while blow-drying. The water repellency of this conditioner is not as good as an acrylic finish like Resolene. However, relatively good water resistance can be achieved if more than one coat is applied. I tried this conditioner on several items from this review: on a piece of vegetable tanned leather with eco-gel, on a piece of untreated vegetable raw materials. and the socks of my heavily sun-bleached work boots. I have attached photos of the results of both procedures. The dead piece showed almost no visible difference in the degree of obscuration. It has really been polished to a nice soft shine. My poor steel-toed boots had been out in the sun for too long, so I figured there wouldn't hurt to apply this conditioner. The paste significantly darkened the skin, exceeding the point of restoration of the original color, turning it into a darker and more saturated shade. The vegetable tanned leather showed a noticeable darkening when I applied the conditioner, let it set and then buffed out. in a plastic container with a screw cap in the form of a petroleum jelly paste. It has consistency. Good god. I think banana paste (which will replace these in a pinch). It doesn't contain any vegetable oil, which I've heard gives leather conditioners that characteristic bacon smell. Rather, this paste smells like sweeter petroleum jelly, and any smell disappears after buffing the applied surface. Overall, I definitely recommend this conditioner as it does its job really well! However, note that it is not designed to be a perfect waterproofing and will darken lighter skin.
