Both my daughter and I love these colors but I bought the size medium as she wears a size 10 shoe and judging by her height medium is the right one. Well they are big enough for my foot (I wear an adult size 6). So we'll keep it for use as it grows, but if you want to use it right away it's best to go a small size. I can't yet confirm what others are saying about the piling up or whether they hold up or not, so far they've gotten the first wash as recommended by the product and they've washed up great.
