It didn't quite fit in my coffee maker basket. I didn't like the goo and micro granules that got in, so I started putting a filter between it and the outer basket. in a burr grinder, hence I have oversized microbeads in my grist.) Using off-mesh filler solved my problem with filters falling off and grist getting into the decanter, which is why I bought a wire filter. So I think it works fine.
