I really feel this shoe can be used as a boot/tennis shoe. I think these are great walking shoes. I like the height of the shoes. I love that it gives my child extra ankle support. The inside of the shoe around the ankle is padded. Velcro on the boot holds well and does not slip. My child can still put them on and take them off with ease. The outsole feels durable yet flexible. The tread appears to be good for slip resistance and traction. The shoes are true to size. The price is affordable for a good, durable hiking shoe.
