I like that the bulbs are tall and thin. My dressing table has tall, thin glass shades that don't allow access to the short, round bulbs at the top to replace them; Glass curtains must be removed to replace the lightbulb. I can easily remove the glass covers from this tall, thin bulb and they don't get stuck. The electrician who installed the light somehow screwed the small round bulbs into sockets inside the lampshades, which I found difficult to change if one burned out because the lampshade caught on the round part of the bulb when I tried to pull it out. Once I figured out how to unscrew the bulb without completely removing the cover, I immediately replaced all the short round bulbs with these tall skinny ones. I have no idea how long these lamps will last.
