I used to travel a lot for business and would go crazy without a side monitor! I am starting to travel again and my old travel monitor is completely out of place so I switched to PIXELS DUEX. I wanted something light, high quality and simple.1. SIZE AND IMAGE. I have the 12.5" size, which is quite large. I also use smaller laptops. It's very sharp and bright. However, please note that most brands have a popular replacement screen size of 15". 2.PLUG AND PLAY? for me it was NOT USB only plug and play, but with HDMI + USB it worked right out of the box. Cable and HDMI, and my HDMI Plus is to the right of my laptop, the right side of my seat was really crowded. For a few bucks You can get a 90 degree HDMI adapter. This allows me to connect (1) HDMI "back to front" and (2) USB-C can be bypassed on the left side of the laptop, making the right room more open. SHELL HAS MAGNETS THAT APPLIES TO YOUR LAPTOP. It is designed to be attached to the back of the laptop (using magnets that go glued to the laptop). Thanks to the magnets, you can either always leave the DUEX on the back of your laptop bag or remove it when you really only need the laptop (e.g. on a plane). The four small round super magnets should always stick to the laptop.5. I WAS A PRETTY DUEX WITH A SCREEN. I'm happy with the weight, plug & play and screen quality. But you can't take out the monitor from the larger retractable plastic mounting tray.6. ONE DUEX, TWO LAPTOPS (SPARE MAGNETS). It comes with an extra set of magnets so you can attach them to another laptop and move the DUEX between two laptops. OR they will serve as new magnets if the first set of magnets falls off due to adhesive aging.7. ALTERNATIVES. I also used an iPad with DUET software on my Lenovo Windows laptop. I've never used it consistently and I have a hard time remembering how it works. But something to consider as an alternative if you already have an iPad.
