I originally bought a size 12 for my daughter who wears a size 12 in other brands of shoes I bought from Revain. They were too big so I bought a second pair in a size 11 and they fit perfectly. I bought a pair of 8.5's for my son who currently wears 8.5's in other brands shoes and the 8.5's fit him very well. I'm having a hard time recommending how to find the right size for your child as I've had two mixed results with my children. I will say these sandals are great once you figure out the size that fits best. They've been wearing them every day for a couple of weeks now and I haven't noticed any issues with the construction of the sandal. I've noticed that my son might have spots on his feet where the sandals rub, but I'm not sure if it's because of the shoes or because he, a 19 month old boisterous toddler, does other things barefoot. My daughter who is almost 4 years old has had no problems with chafing or blisters and will be the first to let me know. Since they wear them barefoot every day, I'm always concerned about possible blistering, but so far so good. They are easy to slip on to children's feet and are a great option for summertime outdoor play. The best part is that kids actually WANT to wear them, which is more than half the battle of buying sandals.
