My husband has been wanting a new antenna for his truck for a long time. We've had one with a long antenna on our wish list for a year or more. I would say we have an average income and only my husband works. We're on a fairly tight budget, and sometimes needs and desires weigh heavily. The antenna eventually started to perform really badly and when I went to buy it (it would cost $22) he asked me to look for a low profile antenna. Execution. The low-profile version, THIS version, ended up being $35, so more money. Currently this antenna is worth the money and has made my husband VERY happy. He runs around town and is home every night, but still, 16 hours a day in a truck, I want him to be happy. His Sirius radio makes him happy. He installed it in about 15 minutes and the cables run through a small watertight opening above his window that was already in place. He drives a day taxi on a pneumatic tank truck. The connection to his mirror is very secure. It's not a big old HERE I AM antenna. He is very mute. Did he notice the difference? Yes! Not only that, now the sound doesn't break because the wire on the old one was bad. but DAS seems clearer and doesn't lose any signal at all. He just has a steady stream of music, news and everything. Very happy with our purchase and no complaints at all.
