Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Optimized Portable Wheel Dishing Gauge - WAG-5 by Park Tool by Alif Wills

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A good tool for an emergency sign, but wheel straightening on the fly?

Does the job but not without ingenuity. This is an opinion. The pressure gauge must not be spring-loaded. The sensor is too narrow, which prevents it from moving freely and resting on the axis. If you try to release all the tension, the sensor will come out of the sensor block and start spinning. Another undesirable point is the metal used for the legs. The flat bar is a bit flimsy and can bend with some pressure. My solution was to omit the spring during assembly when straightening the rim. This allowed the gauge to fall freely, eliminating the need to use excessive force to tighten the gauge knob. Again. excessive force will bend the flat shaft, resulting in out-of-tune cymbal. I think plastic with lots of ribs would be a lot stiffer than this one and maybe cheaper. However, it has good portability and I think that is the main thing for this tool. Here is a link to the Park Tool website for details: http://www.parktool.com/product/portable-wheel-dishing-tool-wag-5 PDF assembly: http://www.parktool.com/documents / 773112373135da40ae6cf60360cb571905d63c71.pdf
