The SDI cable carries video and audio signals that contain a lot of data. If you're using lower quality hardware that doesn't work, you'll notice this. I can't find any problems with these cables. I use them for camera to monitor and monitor to hard drive connections and haven't had any issues so they do what they're supposed to.
