This LED strip is much better than the previous model I tried. I still use the old model, but this one definitely puts it to shame! What's in the box? 2 spools of LED strips, a dual connector that allows you to connect both strips at the same time, an IR remote control, a power cable, instructions and some red glue or tape the controller to the side somewhere. Notable points? - The tin metal contacts connecting the controller and the LED strip are fragile. I see that accidental failure of one of them can cause serious functionality issues. The remote control is easy to use and small enough to put in your pocket when guests arrive. The buttons are not easily pressed, which offers better control. I LOVE the fact that you can connect *2* LED strips to the controller. 1 will work alone, but having 2 strips is even cooler. I tried the iPhone app (also available for Android) and the app connects via Bluetooth so you don't need WiFi to control it from your phone. The color options are amazing. Although the tiny metal pins are fragile, they make a secure connection of sorts to the connector on the controller. and since streaks of light like this aren't meant to be moved over and over again, securing that connection somewhere shouldn't be a problem. Standard features include changing colors manually, the ability to set them to fade to any color, and finally a music response feature that makes the light blink when it hears sudden noises. I didn't buy it to react to music, but I tested the feature by yelling at it loudly and yes, it works. Furniture or cabinets or anything really made of wood. I'd love to see MORE braces for a better fit, but it's better than nothing.
