[Update 8/11/2021] The seller sent me a message showing how to make the fan visible to Alexa. Here's her suggestion: Open the Alexa app - go to "More" -> "Skills & Games". Find "Smartmi Family". Then click "ACTIVATE USE” to activate the functionality. It didn't really work, just afterwards, but it gave me some insight. Eventually, after linking the skill to a Mi SmartHome account or any account like this, this fan showed up in the "Fan" category among the long list of devices recognized by Alexa. I can now use Alexa to control fan on/off, speed and mode switching by voice. I have changed the rating of this product from 2 stars to 4 stars, the missing 1 star is due to the difficulty in getting a 'smart' feature. this should be very easy to get. [Original Review] This is a good fan: silent, light, portable, beautiful; But what made me pull the trigger was that the seller stated that this fan works with Alexa. Unfortunately, this is a false statement. As other users have mentioned, Alexa was unable to detect this fan. I have over 10 Alexa compatible devices at home and I know how to connect them.
