The sound quality of these phones is excellent. They are lightweight with large numbers and a large screen. It has plenty of memory for storing phone numbers (tip: if you want a space when adding names, press the digit 0 (operator) and wait a second - it doesn't say so in the instructions). The phone's speaker is of excellent quality and there is a clip that you can attach (don't be afraid to press hard to attach). So you can use it hands-free while moving. Blocking a call is one touch, but you must press the lock button on the handset or base WHILE THE NUMBER IS STILL RINGING, otherwise you will have to enter the information manually. It has a SILENT mode that you can only access on the base unit. Hold the # button and when the Enter message appears you can choose between 1 and 12 hours. Phones don't ring during this time. There's also an intercom feature so you can contact other family members without having to yell around the house. Oh yes, and they also have a walkie-talkie function. The voice isn't very clear, but no worse than what my Panasonic caller announces. I find this device much more user friendly than my Panasonic and easier to find a name for the speed dial with it. I have an old vTech phone system with no caller ID and wanted to replace my Bang&Olufsen system which is nice but lacks many of the added features of those phones and B&O no longer makes phones. I forgot to mention that you can have up to 12 phones with the system, which is very handy if you have a big house. I assume you will like these phones. I have never had any problems with vTech products. So enjoy your shopping.
