Update: I have another set on Revain that works MUCH better and solves the following spacing issues: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/ B08BHMB11LI was hoping that this would prevent our Kidco Push Gate from sliding off the wall and onto the stairs. The main issue I had is with their diameter, I can't use wall cups on the bottom hold down supports - they would raise the bottom bar of the gate about 3/4" off the ground. Also, I was hoping rubber mount pads would help to make the gate more secure but it doesn't seem to change the strength/security of the hold down bracket, they also definitely won't help you if you have crown molding/baseboards next to them The only benefit I see in them is that they are due the larger surface area compared to about 1-1/4" washers to clamp onto the gate itself can prevent damage to your walls.
