Device works as advertised. It does a great job of displaying SCART content over HDMI and works with my North American Genesis Model 1 using the SCART cable I ordered. You can also switch between 50Hz and 60Hz as well as HDMI and Scart content on the fly, with a delay between these sources of around a second. However, the device doesn't seem to be able to record my capture card. It doesn't matter if I tried to record my Genesis with a scart or a tablet via an HDMI cable. So I'm warning anyone using the Avermedia Live Gamer Portable, this thing just won't work for you. If you have another recording device it might work just fine, and if you're only interested in gaming it does the job just fine. I don't know where these people got this input lag stuff from, I had nothing significant, maybe 2 frames behind the peak and anyone who isn't a superman or a reaction time fighting game snob probably won't notice, and if If your skill depends on a frame or 2 then you probably aren't a very good player to start with. Otherwise a great device, just not the solution I was hoping for.
